Mrs. Dina Karlip's 3rd grade class at Talmudical Academy of Baltimore

National Museum of American Jewish Military History Director Col. Herb Rosenbleeth and Assistant Collections Manager, Mike Rugel visit Mrs. Dina Karlip's 3rd grade class at Talmudical Academy of Baltimore. During the visit, Col. Rosenbleeth reads from "A Jewish Colonel in the Civil War." This book was edited by Jean Soman, great great-granddaughter of Marcus Spiegel, the subject of the book. Click on the thumbnails below to view photos from the visit and read the children's thank you letters.

If your class would like a visit and your school is located in the Washington DC area, contact Mary Westley at (202) 265-6280 for more information. If your class is scheduling field trips, please add us to your list of interesting places to visit. We have a great scavenger hunt game!
